No one really wants to go travelling and have to use their Travel Insurance but it’s great to have for peace of mind.
Certain credit cards offer travel insurance coverage but I found basic Credit card coverage was very limited if you truly read the fine print unless you have a really good card and pay a premium.
Since our trip was super long and had a variety of outdoor activity including scuba diving, I ended up going with World Nomads. There are also two tiers you can choose from. World Nomads has a quote estimator which becomes helpful to determine which tier you would fit into.
There are so many options out there especially with the rise of Digital Nomads. Other options I considered or looked into when researching that you can take a look at are: CAA, Manulife CoverMe, Blue Cross, SafetyWing, Passportcard Nomads, Genki & EKTA.
I am lucky enough to never have to actually use my travel insurance but from my friend’s testimonials, they had to use their World Nomads insurance while travelling, and it was positive results.
